Tom Fisher has long been a fan of motorcycles . “ I began riding dirt bikes as a teenager . When I graduated from the University of Arkansas I rode cross country on a Suzuki Intruder 1400 before I had to report to my first ‘ real job ’ in Dallas .”

As the manager of Cycle Gear in Rogers , he combines his passion with his livelihood . The Rogers location is one of 165 Cycle Gear stores in 39 states across the nation , a business that was founded in 1972 by Dave Bertram in Benecia , California .

Fisher started with Cycle Gear in 2016 as the store manager of the Little Rock location . The Northwest Arkansas store was originally located in Fayetteville from 2018 - 2023 . The store moved to Rogers in 2023 and Fisher moved to Northwest Arkansas in June of last year to take over that location .

Cycle Gear sells a full line of protective gear to fit every budget , and every rider — including helmets , jackets , gloves , boots and most recently , airbag vests . They also sell apparel , universal parts and tires . “ Although we don ’ t service bikes , we do mount and balance motorcycle tires ,” Fisher notes .
